District Development through Skill Training
The District Skill Training Office (DSTO), Kanniyakumari District was established in the year 2018 under the Department of Employment and Training. Government of Tamil Nadu with the aim of developing the District through Skill Training. The DSTO, Kanniyakumari implements the various skill training schemes of the State Government through TNSDC. Also the DST office implements the Pradhan Mantri National Apprenticeship scheme in the district in Optional as well as Designated trades.

Skill trainings in Kanniyakumari District is being implemented by DSTO under the guidance of the District Collector, the Chairman of the District Skill Committee. The District Skill Committee is convened every month to envision the plans of skill development in the district.
